If you're an international student who are overseas fee payers, you could be eligible for a tuition fee discount if you pay your 2026-27 tuition fee, in full, early. The discount is available to students studying at Undergraduate, Masters and or PHD level. The discount will only be applied to the 2026-27 tuition fee, for first year of full-time study only.

Details of the awards available under this scheme are as follows:

Period of entry	Discount amount and payment deadline
October 2026	£1000 discounted provided you pay your full 2026-2027 tuition fee by 19 August 2026
January 2027	£1000 discounted provided you pay your full 2026-2027 tuition fee by 15 January 2027
April 2027	£1000 discounted provided you pay your full 2026-2027 tuition fee by 31 January 2027

How to apply

If you meet all the eligibility criteria, you will automatically be considered for this award. You don’t need to complete an application form. The University will assess your eligibility based on your country of domicile and fee status that you submit on your application for your place at Essex.
