NHS Learning Support Fund

Students starting an eligible healthcare course in autumn 2020 can apply for additional support under the .

Funding amounts

Funding consists of up to £5000 for eligible students each academic year. An additional payment of up to £3000 may be awarded to students who are focusing on a particular healthcare specialism or region that struggles to recruit, or who need assistance for childcare costs.

Eligible courses

Students are eligible for this funding for a range of healthcare courses, including physiotherapy.

Master of Science by Dissertation (MSD) and PhD Studentships

We offer studentships for research students throughout the year. When they are advertised you will find the relevant information on this page or you can contact us with any studentship enquiries.

We do not currently have any PhD studentships open for recruitment.

PhD studentship - Women’s Health and Athletic Performance in Elite Cricket

Despite increased attention to female athlete welfare, gaps remain in how physiological and psychological aspects of the menstrual cycle are understood and integrated into training and performance strategies.

This project aims to address these gaps by examining the complex interaction between menstrual phases, menstrual related symptoms, health and performance in applied cricket environments.
