Profile
Biography
I am a Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Public Health and Wellbeing at the ºÚÁÏÍø, where I continue to collaborate on research applying data science and artificial intelligence to public health challenges. I also work as a Machine Learning Engineer at Hurdle, developing predictive models and scalable data pipelines for large-scale health analytics. Previously, I was a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate in collaboration between the ºÚÁÏÍø and YuLife, a health and life insurance company. During this partnership (2023–2025), I led research on behavioural predictive analytics for health, including a Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) evaluating the impact of gamification on health behaviour, and a UK Biobank project exploring links between lifestyle factors and later-life health risks. My work informed the development of advanced health risk prediction models and data-driven interventions to promote wellbeing. I was awarded my PhD in Computer Science from the ºÚÁÏÍø in 2023. My doctoral research focused on using artificial intelligence and signal processing to improve the performance and explainability of Brain–Computer Interfaces (BCIs) for mental health diagnosis and assistive technologies.
