Biography
Xintong is a feminist media and cultural studies researcher. Her research is driven by the curiosity to explore how the social and cultural forces shape one’s sense of self, with a particular interest in the gender dimension. Xintong's expertise lies in the interdisciplinary research of media and gender, feminist epistemology, reality dating television, advertising and consumer culture, (post)feminism within and beyond post-socialist China, and audience reception in global and transnational contexts.
