Choosing Essex was very easy for me. I had visited previously on school trips and utilised the open days to get to know the business school and campus.  This made making the final decision to study at Essex an easy one. The fact that I’d visited with my school and had attended Open Days made it familiar and made me feel more comfortable when I started my university journey during freshers week.

I chose to study BSc Management and Marketing and the management module studied in my first year was my favourite module.  I found that it gave me a real insight into the skills I’ll likely need in a future social media marketing career. This module coupled with the presentation skills assistance I received helped give me the extra confidence to speak up in my lectures.

My favourite aspect of life at Essex is the amount of new friends that I have made. I was very nervous in my first week when I started uni, but by my third or fourth week I had made a great group of friends.

After graduation I will be looking at graduate programs within the F1 industry and possibly marketing graduate programmes in the football arena.
